It all started back when Norm King, who had 23 years of experience as construction manager for production builders, bought a lot and began building a house for his family. After observing the construction, someone approached Norm and wanted to buy it. "He offered me the right price, so I sold it", Norm laughs. Before he could even complete the project, several other couples approached him, and Sandia Builders was born.

Sandia Builders is a family owned business that includes Norm's wife and business partner, Deven.  Norm oversees the construction process while Deven handles accounting, purchasing, and color selections. Norm and Deven share the "sales" responsibilities as they both want hands-on involvement with every client.

Sandia Builders is a true custom builder. Some clients design homes entirely from scratch while others choose to modify, stretch, or shrink one of the hundreds of plans Sandia Builders has available. Most homes are 2,000 to 4,500 square feet, and in the $400,000 to $800,000 price range.
